Ferrari reveal
Formula One's greatest story of all time will be launched at its 2017 season opener in Melbourne on Thursday and will be the main focus of the Vodafone Melbourne Grand Prix's media launch on Tuesday.
Michael Caruso, the newly appointed managing director of Formula One, will introduce the new owners of the sport, listing the steps they are taking to bring the world of sport to the world of entertainment.
His responsibilities will include marketing, media and broadcast; sponsorship, marketing and commercial; technology; development of the driver and single-seater categories; and motor racing.
"We are here to celebrate the power of motorsport and showcase the world of Formula One to our television, radio, print, online and digital audiences," Caruso said.
"Melbourne will be the first grand prix of the season and we want it to be a milestone for the sport as we kick-off our campaign to celebrate the 65th season of the world championship.
"Ferrari is a brand like no other. It is the world's most glamorous, most powerful and most iconic sports brand.
"We have the best teams and drivers in the world. Our passion is racing, not business.
"In the future, Formula One will evolve and we want to make sure that it remains true to its soul.
"Formula One will always be a sport, but the way we are seeing it develop is very similar to other media sports.
"The world's most successful clubs and leagues in football, basketball, tennis, hockey and American football have all changed their business models and the game is now more accessible to the public than ever.
"If we are smart we will be able to change the Formula One brand to create an exclusive club for those who want the most from their motorsport, the most exciting racing.
"We have set ourselves a number of goals for this season, in the wider world of motorsport and for Formula One as a whole, to create a world-class global motorsport platform and showcase the sport for all our audiences."
The new owners of Formula One have restructured the sport to be more competitive, in line with other global motorsport.
